My Little Lady

Thursday, October 18th (20weeks) we had an appointment to get a mid pregnancy ultrasound done and fine out if you were going to be another little man or our first little lady. We were so excited! Daddy and I both thought that you were a boy, but Stone was sure you were his little sister. The technician saw right away what she thought you were but proceeded to take a lot of measurements and check to make sure everything was ok and that you were healthy. After that, she kept looking and looking to make sure what she thought was correct. She told us she thought you were a girl but that you wouldn't open your legs for her to be sure. After about 30 minuets she told me to get up and use the bathroom and move around a little to see if we could get you to move. When she looked again you still had your legs crossed like a little lady, but we finally got you to open your legs enough to see for sure that you are our little GIRL! We are super excited, but a little nervous....we only know how to do boy things, so you will be a new experience for us. I can't wait to buy girl things though, and wander through the girl sections in the stores. And I'm super excited to do mommy daughter things together as you get older.
We made our families wait a few days before we told them if you were a boy or a girl. We put together a little party with blue and pink balloons, and had cupcakes made with pink frosting in the middle.

Everyone was super excited that you are a girl and we had a fun little party celebrating you. A few people brought over gifts, so you already have a few cute outfits and blankets. You are already so spoiled and we can't wait to meet you. Now we just have to put together a cute nursery and figure out the perfect name for you.
